Blossom was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Columbia, Maryland. He attended Hammond High School for two years before transferring to Montrose Christian School for his junior and senior years. He was a standout basketball player who played a major role in bringing a county championship to Hammond and a national championship to Montrose.
College Career
Blossom played four seasons for the Morgan State Bears, starting out as a role player gradually gaining more playing time until he earned a starting spot his final 3 seasons. In his senior season, Blossom was selected to the Preseason All-MEAC Second Team. Blossom scored a career high 28 points and 15 rebounds against Norfolk State University. Blossom surpassed the 1,000 career points scoring mark and etched his name in history as he finished as the Bear's number 24 all time leading scorer and number 11 all time leading rebounder. He averaged 15 points 6.6 rebounds his senior season earning him MEAC Third Team honors. He graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Professional Career
Team: Petrolero Argentino
Blossom did not enter the 2016 NBA draft, but received multiple offers to begin his professional career overseas. He accepted an offer to join Résidence Walferdange of the Total League in Luxembourg; He later signed with Petrolero Argentino of La Liga Argentina de Básquet on October 30, 2016. In 67 games with the team he averaged 15.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. After his season with Petrolero, he competed for a spot on the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. He later signed a contract extension with Petrolero in the summer of 2017 and played a second season with the club.
Team: Club Atlético Platense
Blossom returned to Argentina for his 3rd season signing with Club Atlético Platense of La Liga Argentina on October 13, 2018. In 56 games he averaged 13.6 points and 5.4 rebounds. He was the second leading scorer and top rebounder on his team willing his team to a regular season and playoff championship in La Liga Argentina with a top level performance (in the deciding game 5) chipping in 14 points and 9 rebounds on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian La Liga Argentina Honorable Mention.
On May 1, 2021 Blossom signed with Club Atlético Union of La Liga Argentina. Again he led his team in scoring and rebounding averaging 12.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. The season ended in complete fairytale fashion as he helped lead his team to win their conference and league championship in August 2021. Blossom surely left his mark as this was his second championship in this league in 3 seasons and he is one of very few import players to win league titles in both conferences.
Coaching Career
Team: Bishop Walsh School
On December 9, 2020 Blossom began his coaching career at the Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland, Maryland. He joined the coaching staff as an assistant for the Bishop Walsh Varsity White team under his former associate head coach at Montrose Christian School, Dan Prete. Not only was he an assistant coach on the court, but created and orchestrated a weight training program for each team. Blossom spent 3 seasons with the Nike Elite Program helping them become one of the teams that ignited the NIBC conference. For his 3rd and final season at Bishop Walsh, Blossom continued to assist with the Varsity White team, but also took the reigns of the Bishop Walsh Varsity Burgundy Team as the head coach leading his team to a 16-5 record.
Team: The Pennsylvania State University
On June 15, 2023 Blossom joined the coaching/support staff as a graduate assistant under Mike Rhoades. His role consists of everything from helping coaches with work in the office to practicing against the players every day to help prepare the team for games. This opportunity has allowed Blossom to gain experience working directly with high level players and some of the best coaches in the game of college basketball.
Personal Life
Since 2011, Blossom has worked a number of basketball camps as a camp coach and counselor. Some of those camps include “Stu Vetter’s Basketball Camp”, “Chenier-Wingfield Basketball Camp” and his very own Blossom Basketball Training formerly known as “Cross Movement Basketball” Camp. Alongside playing and coaching, Blossom is an active content creator on youtube, instagram and tik-tok giving viewers an inside look at the game of basketball from his perspective as a former pro. He has acted in a few plays since 2012 partnering with different churches to give back to the community. Blossom is also an ambitious entrepreneur as he owns a clothing brand "CHRISTeverything".
